Policy Advisory Board

The Policy Advisory Board (PAB) provides a vital link between dotMobi (mTLD Top Level Domain Ltd.) and the .mobi Advisory Group (MAG) and advises dotMobi on best-practice Registry policy relating to the .mobi top-level domain.

PAB works to collect input from MAG and dotMobi's stakeholders, evaluates comments received and provides timely feedback to dotMobi. It also keeps dotMobi aware of any wider public policy issues which have an impact on its operations.

The Board comprises ten appointed members representing a broad spectrum of the mobile, Internet and user communities. Five members are selected from the MAG. One member is appointed by the ICANN At Large Advisory Committee (ALAC); one member is appointed by the ICANN GNSO Noncommercial Users Constituency (NCUC) and one member is appointed by the Registry operations team at Afilias. The remaining two positions are intended to be representatives of individual Internet users and noncommercial NGOs. dotMobi provides the PAB Secretariat.

PAB conducts its business in an open, fair and transparent manner. Like the MAG, for the most part PAB conducts virtual meetings and engages in on-line discussion with occasional physical meetings.

Current PAB membership is as follows:

Ken Stubbs [Afilias]

John Levine [Internet User / NC-NGO]

Wolfgang Kleinwaechter [Internet User / NC-NGO]

Andrés Piazza [ALAC]

Konstantinos Komaitis [NCUC]

Michael O'Farrell [MAG]

Tim Ruiz [MAG]

Lauri Hirvonen [MAG]

S. Prashanth [MAG]
